Frischeis is a private Austrian company and the leading wholesaler for wood and wood products for wood processors, resellers and specialized industries in Central Europe.

The company's organization is as decentralized as possible and as centralized as necessary. The branch offices are organized as decentralized profit centers, thus giving them the greatest ability possible to address regional differences.

Customers are offered a range of products optimized for the market that meets their demands. We obtain those products from reputable, quality conscious vendors in Europe and overseas. Additionally to industrial brands we also offer own brands in certain product groups to our customers.

We take our duties as a company in the community seriously and consider it important to ensure that people enjoy working at our company, and that the company has a positive image.

Quality is our supreme concern in all our activities, both internally and especially in dealings with customers. We define quality as the best possible fulfilment of carefully defined and mutually agreed-upon expectations.

Frischeis prefers to buy from vendors who are able to provide a certificate for sustainable cultivation.

Frischeis is an FSC-certified company.

Additionally, Frischeis strives to save energy throughout the company and to keep shipping routes as short and environmentally friendly as possible. The company also requires all employees to handle resources sensibly.

J.u.A. Frischeis was independently audited again in 2009. Its FSC certification was confirmed during this audit. 

Unfortunately, not all imported timber is available with FSC certification. Frischeis can, however, offer equivalent certification systems (like PEFC, PLB, TLTV and MTCC) on a commission basis.

The international Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), founded in 1993, works worldwide for comprehensive sustainable forest management.
