The trade fair theme for this year's Budma from 11th to 14th of January, which is taking place for an impressive 20th time, is 'Sustainable Construction - Investment in the Future'.
According to Budma the goal is to consciously adhere to commercial, ecological and ergonomic principles, in order to guarantee efficient use of energy, safety, comfort and functionality for residents. At the same time, meddling with the natural environment will be reduced to a minimum.
The Polish headquarters Jaf Polska, also took part in this trade fair and called it the most successful one so far. A lot of potential buyers visisted the two-storey timber construction stand, where a variety of products were exhibited in a picturesque way.

Apart from that the most important suppliers of JafHolz showed their latest product-innovations in more than twenty small exhibition-booths.
350 visitors, klients and friends of JafHolz, took part and were impressed by the variety of products and the professional presentation.
Despite of the cold weather, the participants enjoyed themselves and were warmed up by the "hot" dance-performance of the carnival show Tradiciòn.

The Adriatic Boat Show is an international boat fair dedicated in particular to the Croatian boat industry. There were boats of all types and sizes ranging from life boats up to super yachts. Additionally there was a wide range of accessories and services available, such as boat motors, boat electronics, fishing and diving equipment, clothing, sailing and diving lessons etc. Finally the event was completed by a diverse conference programme reporting on innovations and trends in the field of boat design and construction.
We showcased timber for shipbuilding, veneers and timber decks. There were some interesting expert discussions. Expert and leisurely visitors particularly took an interest in Teak as a deck for ships. Mr Ninoslav Majer, branch manager of Frischeis Šibenik, was very happy with the fair's success and also wants organise an exhibition for next year's Show.
It also needs to be said that our stand was one of the prettiest in the whole exhibition! Small yet superb.

On Friday, 4 June an in-house fair took place in Vyskov, which was attended by nearly 500 guests, not all of them regular customers.
Visitors had an unique opportunity to review the comprehensive presentation of our product line in a new showroom, as well as products of involved suppliers in their prepared stands.
The whole event was accompanied by beautiful sunny weather and a nice atmosphere. Thanks to that, we got a chance to intensify good business relationships.

In 2006 we opened our fifth Hungarian branch office in Zalaegerszeg to the west of Lake Balaton and north of the Croatian border. After initially being accommodated in a rented hall, the office's increasingly profitable business operations lead to the purchase of a property in 2008 and to the commencement of construction work on a real office in 2009. This building has been completed a while ago, with the showroom set up, the storage facilities stocked and the offices furnished.
On 14 May in the first days of spring, extensive celebrations were held to officially inaugurate the branch office.
A welcome speech by regional manager Tibor Varsanyi and local manager Istvan Waller as well as a performance by the Zalaegerszeg dance ensemble marked the beginning of the festivities.
Over 400 visitors first enjoyed an excellent buffet and were then given a tour of the various rooms in order to convince them of JafHolz's expertise as a supplier of timber and timber products.
The festive programme offered a lot of variety and included a show band, a cocktail bar and various activities for the visiting children. There was something for everyone.
There was also a tombola with many lovely prizes at 4:30 p.m. and the celebrations continued well into the night, with the guests enjoying their socialising and listening to the Vegas Show Band.
